Step 1: Find the Subject 🕵️‍♀️

Ask: Who or what is this sentence about?

  • Words: cat / the / sleeps / quietly
  • Subject: The cat 🐱

Step 2: Find the Predicate 🔍

Ask: What is the subject doing?

  • Predicate: sleeps quietly 😴
