Identify adjectives

Key Notes:

An adjective is a word that describes or modifies a noun or a pronoun.

  • Robbie carried several books to the attic.

An adjective can appear before or after the word it modifies.

  • The seedlings were fragile.

Adjectives that come after the word they describe are usually connected by a linking verb, like to beto seemto appear or to look.

  • He seemed eager for the post to arrive.
